Departure and first leg of navigation:

Sailing along the coast, just outside the port, you will admire the beaches of San Leone and the city, in a few minutes you will pass the seaside area reaching the mouth of the Naro river, once passed you will make your first stop in brackish water.

FIRST SWIMMING BREAK:

Our boat trip stops at Misita, a plateau that rises on the southwestern coast of Sicily. Immersed in a breathtaking landscape, a few steps from the ancient Valley of the Temples and nestled between the Punta Bianca promontory and the mouth of the Naro River, this place offers an unforgettable experience.

Get ready to dive into the crystal clear waters surrounding the Misita. Swim and refresh yourself in this pristine sea, surrounded by unspoiled nature. You will be able to admire the beauty of the Sicilian coast from a unique perspective and experience a moment of pure relaxation.

La Misita is a true natural jewel, a perfect place for sea and nature lovers. Here you can immerse yourself in the beauty of Sicily and create memories that will last forever, its water has a particular green reflection and is brackish, it will hardly show its seabed, but by diving in you will understand that it is very clear.

Navigation:

Resuming navigation, you will head towards the Punta Bianca marl!

Second stop:

The second stop will be in front of the Punta Bianca beach which is located in south-western Sicily, a few kilometers from Agrigento. It is known for its white sand and crystal clear water when sediment is not suspended, and is a great place for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. The cold currents in this place make diving in the waters truly special. The warm African sea in some places is truly surrounded by very fresh water. The beach is surrounded by a white marl cliff, which offers spectacular views of the sea. The former Guardia di Finanza barracks in Punta Bianca is located a few steps from the beach, in a place of great scenic beauty. The building, built in the 1960s, has been decommissioned for several years and is in a state of abandonment.

In recent years, various environmental and cultural associations have fought for the recovery of the barracks. The goal is to transform it into an environmental education center, a museum or a hospitality facility. The barracks, in fact, could represent an important point of reference for the valorisation of the Punta Bianca area and the Oriented Nature Reserve of the same name.

However, the future of the barracks is still uncertain. The State Property Office, owner of the property, has started the procedures for its safety, but a concrete project for its recovery has not yet been defined.

Navigation:

After visiting Punta Bianca, if the weather permits, we will continue towards Palma Castle, stopping in the cove below it.

Last stop:

The Baia delle Sirene is a small uncontaminated cove located at the foot of the Chiaramontano Castle, in Palma di Montechiaro, in the province of Agrigento. The beach, also known as Spiaggia di Castellazzo, can only be reached by sea. The beauty of the Baia delle Sirene is given by its crystal clear sea (when the currents are weak), the golden sand and the evocative setting of the medieval castle that dominates the bay. The beach is ideal for those who want a holiday of relaxation and contact with nature.

Legend has it that the Bay of Sirens owes its name to the singing of these sea creatures. It is said that mermaids lived in the bay and attracted sailors with their singing, causing them to shipwreck on the rocks.

The Bay of the Sirens and the Chiaramontano Castle are two places not to be missed if you visit Sicily. They offer a one-of-a-kind experience, between history, nature and legend.

Return to port:

Finally, the boat will return to the port of San Leone, concluding an unforgettable experience discovering the wonders of Sicily.
